Amazing!V

Charles Fennen replied:

Thank you! I had a surprise when I attended our 50th High School reunion. I had chosen these two students from our graduating class but had not seen or talked to them in 50 years. That night of the reunion I learned that the young man that I had chosen for this painting had a career working for NASA. How cool is that!

Artist's Description

These are young graduates looking towards the bright future and what it holds for them. The painting is a collage of a vision of the future starting with two high school students looking with hopes and dreams toward the future and what it will bring after their graduation from Aldine High School in 1957. They are dressed in clothes and hair styles of the period, complete with flat top, pink poodle pin, leather jacket and a 1957 Chevy sitting nearby. The future side of the painting is limited only by ones imagination. I couldnt show all of my ideas because it is near impossible to show 100 years of progress on 36 of canvas. We dreamed of environmentally controlled c...

About Charles Fennen

Charles Fennen

PURCHASED PRINTS WILL NOT HAVE WATERMARK My philosophy of art and being an artist is two-fold. The first and most difficult for any of us is to love what we do and have what we love to do be our chosen profession. The second concerns what I produce as an artist. My creations are based on my day to day experiences and observations of humanity and their dealing with the predicament of life. I am not a purist nor do I seek total realism in my art but I try to offer something that will stir the imagination of the viewer. My pleasure is knowing that I may have taken the viewer away from the harsh reality of this world and given them a sense of wonderment and hope.
