This painting is of the Great Grandfather of all succeeding Bob Blockmans going thru the daily ritual of going to his job and being forced by upper management into doing the impossible. Upper management is all the dark cloaked figures with spears up on the top of the cliff while Bob is being forced to walk on hot coals.

The first and most difficult for any of us is to love what we do and have what we love to do be our chosen profession. The second concerns what I produce as an artist. My creations are based on my day to day experiences and observations of humanity and their dealing with the predicament of life. I am not a purist nor do I seek total realism in my art but I try to offer something that will stir the imagination of the viewer. My pleasure is knowing that I may have taken the viewer away from the harsh reality of this world and given them a sense of wonderment and hope.
